Como todos los años, una de las integrantes de PAAR se lanzó al festival de Coachella en Indio, California. Este año le tocó ir a Ari, quien se aseguró de captar con su Canon las imágenes posteadas a continuación. Es el tercer año consecutivo que hacemos este post y nuevamente logramos hacer una recolección de fotos sobre los looks que más nos llamaron la atención, los tatuajes, la gente, la música y los escenarios. Una vez más, Coachella abrió triunfalmente la temporada de festivales de verano, por lo que este año estaremos haciendo varios posts sobre los diferentes conciertos a los que iremos. A diferencia del año pasado, la organización y logística del festival estuvo mejor, aunque cada vez va más gente y es más difícil tener la experiencia un poco más relajada que se vivía hace unos años.
Los highlights fueron Chemical Brothers, uno de los headliners de la primera noche y Arcade Fire, los headliners de la segunda noche del festival, quienes soltaron pelotas que se prendían al ritmo de la música. Las bandas más divertidas del primer día fueron definitivamente las australianas Cut Cupy y Empire of the Sun, quienes tocaron al mismo tiempo que Animal Collective, en donde el grupo y la gente ya estaban fuera de control. Empire of the Sun traía un tema galáctico -lo mejor fue el penacho dorado del vocalista Luke Steele-, y Cut Copy prendió a la gente con "Lights and Music" (una de las canciones que usamos en nuestro desfile en 2008), "Need You Now" y "Take Me Over", ambas de su más reciente producción.
Foals estuvo increíble, la calidad en vivo de la banda es muy buena, hasta sabemos de algunas personas que derramaron unas cuantas lágrimas de lo bien que tocaron. El mejor momento fue el momento en el que estaban tocando The Strokes y Chromeo en escenarios paralelos, la gente no sabía por cuál irse (creemos que al final Chromeo logro jalar más gente). Alice, la vocalista de Crystal Castles, como siempre se volvió totalmente loca y prendió mucho a la gente (aunque este año se controló un poco más y no se dio microfonazos). Marina and the Diamonds salió a cantar 30 minutos tarde y mucha de la gente que iba a verla se fue mejor a ver a Cut Copy. Kings of Leon como siempre muy bien, tocaron muchos éxitos de discos pasados, la calidad de su música es impresionante. Otro de los highlights fue Caifanes, todos usando sus skinny jeans y chamarras de piel y cantando puro éxito, habían muchos mexicanos apoyando a la banda y eso siempre da gusto. Robyn, The National, Kanye West, Yelle y The Drums también fueron memorables. Les dejamos algunas fotos. Enjoy =)

As every year, one of the PAAR members went to the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. This year Ari was there, and the managed to capture with her Canon all of the images posted below. It is the consecutive year that we make this post about the looks that caught our attention the most, the tattoos, people, music and the different stages. Once again, Coachella triumphantly opened the summer festival season and this year we will be writing several posts on the different concerts we will attend. Unlike last year, the organization and logistics of the festival was better, but there is an increasingly larger amount of people every year, so it is getting very difficult to experience the relaxed atmosphere that Coachella had a few years ago.
The main concert highlights were the Chemical Brothers, headliners of the first night and Arcade Fire, the headliners of the second night of the festival, who released balls that turned on and off to the rhythm of the music. The most entertaining bands on the first day were definitely the Aussies Cut Copy and Empire of the Sun, who played at the same time as Animal Collective, where the group and people were totally out of control. Empire of the Sun wore outfits based on a galactic theme -the best was the golden plume hat worn by singer Luke Steele-. Cut Copy caught everyone’s attention with "Lights and Music" (one of the songs we used in our fashion show of 2008), "Need You Now "and" Take Me Over”, both from their latest production.
Foals were amazing, the live music quality of the band is excellent, we even know of some people who shed a few tears during their performance. The best moment was the one when The Strokes and Chromeo were playing in parallel scenarios, people did not know which one to listen to, though we think the final achievement Chromeo draw more people in the end. Alice, the lead singer of Crystal Castles, as always became totally crazy and managed to make the audience crazy as well (although this year she was a bit calmer and did managed not to hit herself as much with the mic). Marina and the Diamonds came out 30 minutes late and a lot of people left to to see Cut Copy instead. Kings of Leon as always played very well, mainly hits from past albums - the quality of their music is awesome. Another highlight was Caifanes, who were all wearing their skinny jeans and leather jackets and sang all of their most famous songs, there were many Mexicans there supporting the band and that's always a pleasure.
