Coney Island es el nombre de la península ubicada al extremo sur the Brooklyn. El lugar está plagado de parques de diversiones semi-abandonados y lleno de representantes de la cultura estadounidense que pocas veces se encuentran en las calles de la cosmopolita Manhattan. Lucía, diseñadora del equipo de PAAR, durante su verano en Nueva York se fue a Coney Island a documentar lo que queda de este gran lugar turístico que entró en decadencia después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. La gente, objetos y estética del lugar se percibe en cada una de sus fotos.

Coney Island is the name of the peninsula located at the south tip of Brooklyn. The place is full of semi-abandoned theme parks and is full of representatives of the American culture that are rarely found in the streets of the cosmopolitan Manhattan. Lucia, one of the designers of the PAAR team, spent her summer in New York and went to Coney Island to document the remainings of this great site, which fell into decline after the Second World War. The people, objects and aesthetics of the place are perceived in all of her photos.
