Icono de la Semana: Marcela Riomalo

Marcela Riomalo es adicta a la lechuga, a sus hermanos y a los domingos con sol. Nació en Medellín y creció en Bogotá, pero han sido también casa Montpellier, Barcelona y Nueva York. Estudió ballet, música, periodismo y fotografía, en ese orden y siempre lo próximo reemplazando a lo anterior. Disfruta por igual una canción de Sigur Rós que una cumbia de Totó La Momposina. Ordena los libros por color. Fue arrestada en Hungría y tejió collares con mujeres en el Tíbet. En su clóset predominan la seda, los colores pastel y los zapatos con tacón de madera. Su boca ocupa la mitad de su cara. Es romántica pero detesta las rosas, las serenatas y las velas. La entristece la mala ortografía. Como fotógrafa, prefiere la luz natural y los espacios cotidianos. Como lectora, las frases cortas y los libros de bolsillo. Piensa que Nueva York está sobrevalorado y que más personas deberían leer a Julio Ramón Ribeyro. Por más que intente, nunca será buena cocinando, negociando o callándose lo que no le parece. Se emborracha a menudo y con facilidad extrema. A la fecha, tiene veintiún grandes amigos y considera un hecho irrefutable que sean los veintiún mejores humanos que habitan la tierra. Marcela Riomalo  is addicted to lettuce, her brothers and sunny Sundays. She was born in Medellin and raised in Bogota, but Montpellier, Barcelona and New York have also been her home. Her mouth occupies half her face. She is a romantic that hates roses, serenades and candles. Poor spelling makes her sad. As a photographer, she prefers natural light and common spaces. As a reader, she prefers short sentences and paperback books. She believes New York is overrated and that more people should read Julio Ramon Ribeyro. She will never be good at cooking, trading or keeping to herself whatever she doesn't like. She gets drunk often and easily. To date, she has twenty-one great friends and it is an irrefutable fact that they are the twenty-one best humans that inhabit Earth.
