I recently went to the Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. This contemporary artist, who was sponsored by Louis Vuitton for this exhibition, is known for creating dense and texture-loaded pieces and installations. My favorite one was Fireflyes in the Water, an installation composed of lights and mirrors that conveyed a feeling of incredible peace. Apparently, every single one of her pieces is born out of her madness and impulsiveness (the artist lived in a mental institution for a while purely out of personal conviction). I was wearing Zara t-shirt and pants, a Bebe vest, a necklace from our autumn-winter collection (available here), a Tory Burch belt, Marc Jacobs shoes and a Carolina Herrera bag.
