Icono de la Semana: Josefina Valdés

Para Josefina, la moda es un experimento infinito. Le gusta construir su estética muy personal con base en experiencias, pasiones y raíces. Sus diseñadores favoritos son Vivienne Westwood, Ann Demeulemeester, Rick Owens, Nicolas Ghesquiere, Hedi Slimane y Ricardo Tisci. Estudia moda y su sueño es hacer una maestría en menswear en Amberes o Londres. Su meta es trabajar en el mundo de la moda para hombre, ya sea en estilismo, editorial o diseño de indumentaria. Sus heroés son David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Lou Reed, Stephen Tennant y Oscar Wilde. Le fascina la literatura y los beatnics son sus favoritos: W.S Borroughs, Kerouac y Ginsberg. Cree que la moda es una respuesta a los estimulos infinitos que nos rodean: la música, el arte, la literatura, el cine... No tengo hobbies, más bien todo lo que hace es su hobbie. Desde los 12 años su energía está enfocada en el mundo estético. Le encanta lo dulces - para ella nunca son suficientes. Los macarons y cupcakes son sus favoritos. La música protagoniza su vida. Bandas como The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, The Rolling Stones, The Dandy Warhols, Joy Division, y Bowie influencian sus días. Le encantan las películas de Jim Jarmusch y Lars Von Trier porque la hacen relacionar aspectos ficticios con aspectos de la vida diaria. Nació en Chile pero su familia es Uruguaya y desde hace 12 años vive en México. De los tres, México es su consentido. Les recomendamos su colección de imágenes.

Josefina defines fashion as an infinite experiment. She likes to build her own aesthetic based on experiences and passions. Her favorite designers are Vivienne Westwood, Ann Demeulemeester, Rick Owens, Nicolas Ghesquiere, Hedi Slimane and Ricardo Tisci. She studies fashion and her dream is to do a masters in menswear in Antwerp or London. Her goal is to work in the fashion of men´s fashion, either in styling, editorial or fashion design. Her heroes are David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Lou Reed, Stephen Tennant and Oscar Wilde. She loves literature and the beatnics are definitely her favorites: WS Burroughs, Kerouac and Ginsberg. She believes that fashion is a response to a huge amount of stimuli around us: music, art, literature, cinema ... She has no hobbies, everything she does is her hobby. Since the young age of 12, her whole energy has been devoted to the aesthetic world. She loves sweets like macarons and cupcakes. Music plays an instrumental part in her daily life, bands like The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, The Rolling Stones, The Dandy Warhols, Joy Division, Bowie and influence her. She loves movie directors Jim Jarmusch and Lars Von Trier because they find the link between fiction and real life.
