Icono de la Semana: Daniela Sanchez

Daniela is a typical posh girl who attended an all-girls school and never imagined she was going to perform in the same stage as Kiss. Daniela plays at a band called Ruido Rosa, which has taught her to be patient and make the best out of every situation. Just as one day they can be opening a concert for Maroon5 in the Arena Mexico, the next day she can be playing in a place with no monitors. She holds a degree in Communications from Universidad Iberoamericana and specialized in digital design. At uni not only she learned to write, she also realized that she was good at it and that she really enjoyed it. In her second semester she started collaborating at Ibero90.9 (the university's radio station), where she wrote about new music for the JoboNobo show. She also participated in the coverage of the Daft Punk concert and the Inide-O Music Awards. She continued doing weekly reviews of bands and selected new releases for the show  Delicatessen until she graduated and started collaborating for Time Out magazine in Mexico as editor of the Shopping and Style section. Her job as an editor inspired her to create her blog, Lady Sanchez, which name is inspired by the nickname her friends used to call her, making reference to her posh attitudes in contrast with her rebellious nature. Daniela loves rock and she usually publishes personal style posts making reference to a band, and also interviews people she has been fortunate to meet in the Mexican music scene. Music will always be part of her life and also influences her style. For each show or interview she wears a different outfit, which always places her in the dylemma of chosing between buying music gadgets or a pair of shoes. Her style is predominantly rocker, but occasionally she dresses more girly. Her hobbies are talking to her friends, drinking tea and watching movies (good or bad).

Daniela es la típica niña fresa de escuela de puras niñas que pensaba que iba a tener una vida muy común y nunca se hubiera imaginado tocar en el mismo escenario que Kiss. Daniela es parte de la banda Ruido Rosa, lo cual le ha enseñado a ser paciente y siempre sacar lo mejor de lo peor. Así como un día le abren a Maroon5 en La Arena México, el que sigue tocan en un lugar donde no hay ni monitores. Es licenciada en Comunicación por la Universidad Iberoamerica y estudió el subsistema de diseño digital. En la Ibero aprendió a escribir, se dio cuenta que no era mala y que era algo que le gustaba, así que en su segundo semestre entró a Ibero90.9, en dónde reseñaba discos y canciones para el programa JoboNobo. Participó y escribió en especiales como el de Daft Punk y los Inide-O Music Awards. Continuó haciendo reseñas semanales de alguna banda o disco, así como la selección de estrenos y noticias del mundo de la música en Delicatessen hasta que terminó la carrera y empezó a colaborar en la revista Time Out México en la sección impresa de Shopping and Style. De ahí nació la idea de empezar Lady Sanchez, su blog. El nombre del blog nace del apodo que le pusieron sus amigos por ser una niña fresa que de repente se pone sus moños, aunque también tiene su lado aventurero. A Daniela le encanta el rock y sube posts con fotos de personal style, en donde también platica sobre bandas y artistas que le gustan. También entrevista a gente de otras bandas y les pregunta sobre su estilo. Gracias a que toca en una banda y se mueve en el mundo de la música conoce a muchos personajes de la escena musical en México. La música siempre será parte de su vida e influye en su estilo: para cada show o entrevista usa un outfit diferente y admite que le encanta la ropa. Por lo anterior, constantemente entra en conflicto: comprar unos pedales o unos zapatos. Lógicamente su estilo es rockero, pero de vez en cuando saca los tacones y se viste más niña. Sus hobbies son platicar sus amigas, tomar mucho té, comer chocolate, ver películas buenas y malas.
