I just came back from an amazing week in Greece. The coolest thing was that it was packed with girl power: from goofy dinners, volleyball matches, late night swimming and party nights, to passionate discussions about the environment, relationships, gender, and how to make the perfect mojito (check out the video on Instagram!). An interesting thing was that the last day we realized that no one had brought any gossip or fashion magazine to the trip, I can't really explain why. Instead, we all read cool books such as Lean In (the "new bible for women" according to my friend Jenny). I took with me Los Detectives Salvajes, an amazing book by Roberto Bolaño. It felt like we all went on this trip to answer a lot of personal questions, and to seek for each other's advice. I'm impressed of how much I can talk to myself when lying in the beach. Acabo de regresar de un increíble viaje a Grecia. Lo mejor fue que estuvo cargado de "girl power" de todo tipo: desde momentos chistosos, juegos de volleyball, y noches de fiesta, hasta discusiones apasionadas sobre medio ambiente, relaciones, género, y como preparar el mojito perfecto (pueden ver el video en Instagram!). Lo más raro de la vacación (al menos en mi caso) fue que nadie llevó ni una sola revista de moda o de chismes, más bien todas llevamos libros interesantes como Lean In (la nueva biblia para las mujeres, según mi amiga Jenny), o Los Detectives Salvajes, el libro que llevé yo, escrito por Roberto Bolaño. Sentí como que todas fuimos al viaje para respondernos muchas preguntas, y buscar el apoyo y consejo de las demás. Es impresionante lo que puedo llegar a platicar conmigo misma cuando estoy tirada en la playa. Estas fotos me las tomó Inka justo en frente de Alemagou, uno de nuestros lugares favoritos de la vacación. Estoy usando una pulsera PAAR, que por cierto está al 50% de descuento!
