Lorenzo is a Mexican artist who, with a million dollars, would start a pottery studio, build a house in Mexico City’s San Miguel Chapultepec area, open a bakery, and build another small house in one of Mexico’s magical towns. He would also like to open an esoteric shop. He admires Jodorowsky for his eternal pursuit of happiness, Madonna for her strength and vision, Felix Candela for his plasticity, and above all, Carlos Berlanga. He also admires his parents, who have accomplished so much with very little. If Lorenzo was in the midst of a natural disaster and could only get one item out of his closet, it would be Lucianito, his cat, who is always hiding there. To Lorenzo, fashion is a way to express and identify yourself in a historical context. He doesn't like to describe himself as someone in particular, and likes to think he can do all sorts of things, "people are very foolish to try to tag themselves as one thing, that's rubbish". Lorenzo believes “we are all good at so many things." He wouldn't think twice about moving to the Mexican city of Guadalajara, or maybe somewhere in Spain. Lorenzo believes that one of the greatest challenges of our generation is the lack of authenticity. “I think nobody is really authentic, people are afraid to be who they really are, and hide under paradigms and social cues, stubborn for always wanting to fit in, in a very banal and egomaniacal way." Lorenzo never stops being himself, and his work speaks clearly about it - "the only way we can be happy and help others in the process, is if we are true to ourselves.” He also believes that "everyone should stop believing they are designers, photographers, and DJs." His favorite books at the moment are the ones his dad is writing- they are about, as Lorenzo likes to describe it, “pure magic." His favorite bands are Alaska and Dinarama, Fangoria, Simon & Garfunkel, and The Cardigans, and his fashion icons are Grace Jones, Madonna, Rosy de Palma, Alaska, and Prince, although Lorenzo admits he doesn't think about fashion much. The northern-born artist admits that what inspires him the most is his country: Mexico - "a tour of a village fair is my biggest inspiration." You will always see him carrying an umbrella, a sweater and a Moleskin notebook .
