Personally and professionally, 2013 was a year of many challenges and many accomplishments, with a lot of ups and downs, and a lot of learning. The year started with an amazing trip to New York, followed by Ari's decision to leave PAAR and start The Double Denim, her new personal project. For me, Ari's decision to leave the brand triggered a lot of introspection and thought, and gave me some time to rethink the direction of PAAR and The PAAR Blog. My summer in Greece was a key moment in my year - being with eight successful, smart and brave women for a week in the beach was essential to define my personal goals for the second half of the year. I was challenged to think about how to take forward the brand and reflect on what it means to be an independent woman. I closed my year with a trip to Indonesia, another to Honduras and finally to Mexico City and Mazatlan, from where I am writting this post. The end of 2013 was amazing, my brother Paco decided to join PAAR and in a record time managed to dramatically revitalize the brand and improve our sales. I really hope 2014 continues to be great. I really want to thank everyone that gave me such good advice this year, pushed me forward and forced me to challenge myself even more. Thanks for shopping too! It's been a great year. Personal y profesionalmente, 2013 fue un año de muchos retos y de muchos logros, con altas y bajas, pero lleno de grandes aprendizajes. El año empezó con un increíble viaje a Nueva York, seguido por la decisión de Ari de salirse de PAAR para empezar The Double Denim, su nuevo proyecto personal. Para mí, la salida de Ari fue motivo de introspección y momento para replantear el rumbo de PAAR y de The PAAR Blog. Mi verano en Grecia fue un momento clave en mi año – estar rodeada de ocho mujeres exitosas, con mucho cerebro y buenas ideas fue esencial para definir mis metas de la segunda mitad del año. Me plantee trabajar duro para sacar adelante la marca y reflexionar sobre lo que significa ser una mujer independiente. Cerré mi año con un viaje a Indonesia, otro a Honduras, a la ciudad de México y a Mazatlán, desde donde escribo este post. En fin del 2013 fue increíble, Paco mi hermano decidió unirse a PAAR y con nuevos ojos logro revitalizar la marca y subir dramáticamente nuestra presencia online y nuestras ventas. Espero que el 2014 sea un año aún mejor que el 2013. Muchas gracias a todas las personas que nos apoyaron con consejos, recomendaciones y con compras! Ha sido un grandísimo año.
