Out of the Ordinary Wedding Dresses

A friend is getting married soon and she gave me the huge responsibility of looking for "out of the ordinary" wedding dresses for her. As a person who is far from walking down the aisle, I found the task quite challenging. I love weddings, I love dresses, but I usually dislike most wedding dresses. In Mexico, brides tend to play it safe and go for ordinary dresses, which by the way, are ridiculously overpriced. I'm not only against the idea of spending thousands of dollars on a wedding dress, I am also against the idea of spending thousands of dollars on a wedding dress that will be worn by thousands of other brides. Any dress, especially a wedding dress, needs to reflect a woman's personality and style of her own. Turns out I wasn't able to help my friend very much with the task, as my style is entirely different to hers. What I did manage to do was compile a selection of out of the ordinary wedding dresses made by French designer Rime Arodaky. Do you like them?

Una de mis amigas se va a casar pronto y me pidió que le ayudara a buscar un vestido de novia "original". Estoy bastante lejos de caminar hacia el altar, así que la verdad la tarea me costó bastante trabajo. Me encantan los vestidos, y me encantan las bodas, pero la mayoría de los vestidos de novia la verdad no me gustan para nada. En México, la mayoría de las novias se van por lo seguro y compran vestidos ordinarios, a precios carísimos. No solo estoy en contra de la idea de gastar miles de dólares en un vestido de novia, estoy en contra de la idea de gastar miles de dólares en un vestido de novia que van a usar miles de novias más. Cualquier vestido, y especialmente un vestido de novia, debe reflejar la personalidad de la novia, y su estilo. Al final no pude ayudarle mucho a mi amiga, ya que mi estilo y el suyo son completamente diferentes. Lo que si pude hacer fue compilar una selección de vestidos poco comunes del diseñador francés Rime Arodaky. ¿Les gustan?
