Talisco - Run (NSFW)

On the 24th of February, Talisco released Run, his debut album. The France native songwriter brings us an interesting and refreshing proposal, combining pop-folk with trip-hop electronic beats and sounds and vocals that have been compared even to the late Jeff Buckley's. To promote the album, Talisco, alongside directors Matt Larson and Zack Spiger, created a short film that shares the same name as the album. The short has already won best cinematography at the Sun Valley Film Festival 2014, and has definitely raised the bar for the production of multi-track shorts.

Run narrates the story of a couple, that after being pursued, caught, and separated, struggle to find each other and reunite. Even though the details of who chased them, why or even who the couple are, are vague and unclear, the general dark tone and the use of cult movie elements captivate and guide you through the entire short. El pasado 24 de febrero, Talisco, lanzó su primer álbum, Run. Originiario de Francia, Talisco nos trae una propuesta muy interesante, combinando pop-folk con sonidos electrónicos trip-hopperos y vocales versátiles que han sido comparadas hasta con Jeff Buckley. Para promocionar el álbum, Talisco, junto con los directores Matt Larson y Zack Spiger, creó un cortometraje homónimo, el cual ya ganó mejor cinematografía en el Sun Valley Film Festival 2014 y ha elevado la vara en cuanto a cortos de múltiples canciones se refiere.

Run narra la historia de una pareja que son perseguidos, atrapados y separados, y su lucha por reencontrarse. Aunque los detalles de quién los atrapa, por qué o quién es la pareja no son claros, durante todo el corto nos lleva en un viaje obscurdo lleno de elementos de cine de culto, mezclando tiempos y espacios que hacen que todo el tiempo el tono del corto nos cautive. ¿Qué opinan?
