Almost three years ago I went to Menorca, one of the four balearic islands off the coast of Spain. I fell in love with its "calas", white sand beaches, turquoise water and its natural beauty. About a week ago I went to Mallorca, the biggest of the four islands, for a short escapade after a pretty intense week of work in Ghana. Compared to the humid Mexican beaches, Mediterranean beaches are dry and smell of pine trees. One of my favorite spots in the island was Cala Santanyi, where there is a huge arch-shaped eroded rock and a sculpture by Rolf Schaffner.

Hace casi tres años fui por primera vez a Menorca, una de las cuatro islas baleares en la cosa de España. Me enamoré de las "calas", las playas con arena blanca, el agua turquesa y la belleza natural de toda la isla. Hace una me di una escapada a Mallorca, la isla balear más grande, para descansar después de una semana de mucho trabajo en Ghana. Comparado con las playas mexicanas, que son húmedas y tropicales, las playas en el mediterráneo son secas y huelen a pino. Me encantan. Uno de mis lugares favoritos en Mallorca fue la Cala Santanyi, en donde hay una roca inmensa en forma de arco en medio del mar y una de las cuatro esculturas del artista Rolf Schaffner.
