Although Mexicans don't usually celebrate Thanksgiving, I am always keen on adopting traditions from other cultures, especially if they involve good food, and spending time with friends and family. I spent Thanksgiving at the Rhodes House this year, where food was cooked collaboratively, as well as deserts, and a student choir sang a really cool South African song before we ate. Being thankful is something we should all work on and practice it every single day. I often forget how lucky I am.

Aunque los mexicanos no celebramos Thanksgiving, soy partidaria de adoptar tradiciones de otras culturas, especialmente cuando involucran buena comida, y pasar un buen rato con amigos y familia. Este año pasé Thanksgiving en la Rhodes House, en donde cocinamos comida y postres de manera colaborativa, y un coro increíble cantó una canción sudafricana - de las las canciones más bonitas que he escuchado. Dar gracias es algo que debemos de practicar todos los días, todo el día. A veces se me olvida lo suertuda que soy.
