In an interview for Into the Gloss, Banks described her music as 'dark blue or black, like a punch to your gut that feels really good'. I couldn't agree more. My obsession with Banks started over a year ago and it will probably last for a while. I don't usually follow artists closely anymore, probably because Spotify makes sure that I like everyone and no-one at the same time. I remember the first time I listened to her music: I was sitting in the front seat of Simon's car, cruising through the English countryside roads thinking about nothing and everything at all. Although I've always had a thing for female vocals, I find hers particularly cool. Her personal style is also amazing - it is dark, slick and simple, pretty much the opposite to what most female singers would choose to wear on stage. 'Better' -her most recent single- is my current favorite. Enjoy!

Mi obsesión con Banks empezó hace más de un año, y probablemente dure otro buen rato. Normalmente ya no sigo a artistas muy de cerca, probablemente porque Spotify se ha encargado de que me gusten muchos y ningún artista a la vez. Pero con Banks es diferente. Me acuerdo la primera vez que escuche su música: estaba sentada en el asiento de adelante del coche de mi amigo Simón, manejando en las angostas calles inglesas, pensando en todo y en nada a la vez. Aunque siempre prefiero voces femeninas que masculinas, la de Banks tiene algo realmente especial. Su estilo personal también es de mis favoritos - simple, oscuro y muy bien pulido- completamente opuesto a lo que muchas cantantes contemporáneas escogerían ponerse en el escenario. Su sencillo más reciente 'Better' es uno de mis favoritos. Enjoy!
